Tell us abit about yourself, and some facts of DJ ANTENTION
A:Hey Trashbags, and friends, My name is Alex i'm 23 years old and from Russia.

Your Equipment of choice for Producing music?
A:For me, producing i use Cubase and for my live element Ableton is my weapon of choice.

What has been your most memorable show you have played, and why?
A:There was an open house-party of a friend, there would have been easily 300 people, it was a big house, then whilst i was playing, i said to a friend "listen to this track" i hit play, and then all of a sudden, the crowd started to dance and jump to this tune "go!", it was an amazing feeling, This track has just been released and heavily played across the world.

In Australia, especially the Trashbags Crew have really come into supporting DJ ANTENTION, how has this happened?
A:This is an interesting and incredible cool story, As usual i check my mail from friends, or promotional message, and a new name was in my inbox, It was Diego from Trashbags, asked me if Trashbags could work together with me as "DJ Antention" and i said "of course!" - This was great news for me, as i was looking for a way for my production to hit a new level, and having the support as the likes of "Australia's Trashbags crew" is always a great way for exposure and they support artists like a team.
Is there a possibility we will be seeing you in Australia any time soon?
A:Definitely soon, i cannot say what the date is, but there is talk of an upcoming tour for Australia, it's a dream come true, to play my new music in a foreign country such as Australia.

Russia is well known for Home of the Proxy, with his big basslines, The Australian Fans have taken a big liking for DJ ANTENTION, do you think the best from you is yet to come?
A:The Proxy is a really cool Musician, I like everything he writes, i am very pleased that Australia have really enjoyed my music, the best from me is yet to come.

We see you have some new Releases coming out on some cool labels, Anything in the pipeline with more releases later this year?
A:I have a great release coming out this Spring!, It all began in April with the release of Jump! single, which had some excellent remixes from friends of mine. Just recently released a full-lenght EP Go! to Mantrasher Label with some great remises, also doing a release/compilation on a sub-label Coco machine, which is also looking great. I have 1 final release out, which i am really looking forward to, its an EP for a Russian label, thats about the only information i can give for now :)

Your Production of Music is so heavy, did you think it would get the response and attention it has gotten globally so far?
A:Not at all, its quite overwhelming, when i produce music i put 100% effort into my music, i write alot of positive Substance when creating music, So all the hard work that i have put into my production is finally coming together and getting recognition across the world. When i do play shows, i like to add all my new sounds, productions, and also not forgetting my favourite tracks also.

Haezer, One of the most hyped producer this year, gets intimate with Trashbags, and talks about his relations to TUFFEM UP! records and more.

For those who’ve been living under rock, care to tell us a bit about yourself?

H:I'm a producer/dj of gangsta/thrash/electro/punk music. i like beer and long walks on the beach.

What’s the meaning behind the pseudonym Haezer?

H:I couldn't think of a 'cool' name. so i just used the name my father gave me. Ebenhaezer smal

Could you tell our readers a bit about your musical roots? How and when did you know you wanted to produce electro?

H:I grew up listening to Violent Femmes, Beck and Offspring - i idolized my brother and that's what he was listening to. When I didn't see him for a while I bought MONSTER HITS 2. I still remember fucking out to that compilation.
I then turned to more underground hardcore and punk. I loved the rawness and honesty...but it didn't have enough melody and that's when i started listening to more new school punk. In Grade 7 i was the weirdo listening to Propellerheads - kids in
my school was into pop and at best hard rock...but then things got even a little weirder when i started listening to experimental electronica like 'Matmos' and 'Pansonic'...Then i got a bit older and started partying...I wanted party music. Started off with
drum 'n bass and progressed to breakbeat and then electro...but all the while i was still listening to ALL GENRES of music..I just love music(good music), so if it's good i probably have it on my ipod. My favourites are still Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Velvet Underground, Prodigy, Daft Punk and Boards of Canada.

When you first started producing, what gear were you using?

H:An Pentium 2 PC with fruity loops hooked up to the smallest/shitiest speakers in existence.

What equipment are you currently using?

H:MacBook Pro, Edirol UA-25 soundcard, Edirol PCR-500 midi keyboard, Blofeld desktop Synth, Moog Little Phatyy(i love this synth very much...you can say we have a very intimate relationship) and Logic Pro, Reason 4 and Ableton live.

Oh shit! Your Studio is on fire! You only have time to save one piece of gear! What is it?

H:MY LITTLE PHATTY ! but if it includes my laptop, then definitely my laptop...i'm not very good at backing up shit.

Haezer, you've made your legions of fans from successful single after single. But you're currently working on your first EP with Tuff em Up! Records, can you tell us a bit about that?

H:I'm very excited about this E.P ! it's a three track E.P with remixes...It's Not Our Fault, Dominator and Anarchy! are the three tracks. It's definitely a party E.P, but i also put alot of thought into the conceptual side of the tracks and melodies.

Would you say any other artists have had a strong influence on your work?

H:So many that i can't start to name drop. the raw energy of 'faith no more' , the dirty, chaotic mind of 'Trent Reznor' , the timeless vocal hooks of 'Daft Punk' and the new approach to loud mastering of 'Mr. Oizo'

Both of you have a feather in your cap for having already worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. But are there any other artists that you'd like to collaborate with in the not too distant future?

H:I'd dig to collaborate with Tom Waits on vocals and Angus on guitar.

It's your lucky day, Trashbagskids has given you magical powers; you can play with one artist dead or alive, anywhere in the world. Who and where is it?

H:On the Pentagon's roof with Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson on vocals. oh sorry, that's two artists. My magical powers became so strong i molded them into Marilyn Jackson

Are there any producers at the moment you think we should be keeping our eyes on?

H:I think Cyberpunkers are gonna become HUGE...like Justice huge...Dj Antention is rad and i'm really enjoying Belzebass's tunes lately.

Your top three favorite bangers at moment, what are they?

Haezer, this will be your first time to Australian shores. What do you think you can expect from your Australian fans?

H:From what i've seen it's my kinda people. down to earth, party people who knows there music! i mean ACDC! c'mon .. so expect lots of fun memories and massive parties.

Australian's love a lot of things, but wild parties are towards the top of the list. Can you tell our readers what they can expect from you both and the We Love Noize tour?

H:Stage dives, drink pouring, moshing...ANARCHY!

Where-ever you two go...mayhem follows, but what's the most memorable set you've played?

H:I would have to say either Paradiso with Midnight Juggernauts - cause i played in front of the sound desk and the place got so full a kid bumped laptop to the floor - dead.
the other would be @ The Assembly with the local boys - cause i managed to get the crowd so pumped people started stage diving, crowd surfing and just generally losing their tits.

When you're not tearing it up in the studio or behind the decks, where could we find you relaxing?

H:Little towns like fisherhaven near Cape Town where i stay(my manager has a holiday house there). I also dig hanging out in nature and Cape Town is the best place for that. 2 hours out any direction and you get forests, ocean, desert...whatever you desire really.

A fan sees you and offers to shout you a drink, what are you taking?

GTRONIC has taken time off his busy Schedule to speak to Trashbags up close and personal on whats to come, during his We Love noize Tour and more.

For those who’ve been living under rock, care to tell us a bit about yourself?

G:My name is Greg aka Gtronic. I'm 24 years old and making some electronic beats for 3 years now, I think. I live in Antwerp, Belgium. My favourite color is blue and I really like potatoes with sausages and cauliflower.

What’s the meaning behind the pseudonym Gtronic?

G:I don't know. I just express myself trough music. I try to make heavy trash music, as it should be for me. I just love hanging around in my music studio, and learning some new producing techniques...

Could you tell our readers a bit about your musical roots? How and when did you know you wanted to produce electro?

G:I grew up in a musical environment. My father is a songwriter and guitarist. So when I was a little child, I always played with all kind of instruments. That's how I began playing the guitar. I jammed with a lot of musicians. After a while, I started playing around with Virtual DJ, Reason and Fruityloops. From that moment my interests in making my own electro music developed more and more.

When you first started producing, what gear were you using?

G:A PC that crashed all the time and a pair of bad headphones.

What equipment are you currently using?

G:Monitors: Yamaha HS80 (I will make an upgrade to Event Opal soon)

PC: AMD Quadcore 3Ghz with 8 Gb Ram and enough disk space + 2x 22" monitors

DAW: Sony Acid Pro 6.0c and Cubase 5 + a lot of Virtual instruments

Soundcard: Line6 TonePort UX2

MIDI: Evolution MK-249, Akai Pad MPD24 and Evolution UC-33e

Extra: a simple microphone, Fender Telecaster from 1985

Oh shit! Your studio is on fire! You only have time to save one piece of gear! What is it?

G:I would sing the Belgian national anthem and die with my gear.

A lot of people would define your music as auditory anarchy, an all out assault on the senses, but what do 'you' define your sound as?

G:haha Thank you, that's a compliment for me.

I would like to define my music style as "Heavy Bass Trash". I try to find a perfect balance between heavy basslines and sharp fucked up sounds.

You've just released your Camel Toe EP with Lektroluv Records, care to tell our readers a bit about it?

G:Well, I signed to Lektroluv Records. As a debut album, I choose two older songs who weren't released yet. Cameltoe is a track I really like for it's simple melody. Suck My Lollipop is a more dirty fidget bouncing track. One of the first tracks where I discovered my own sound...

We understand you've just signed to Steve Aoki's label. Can you tell us anything about the EP your working on under the Dimmak banner?

G:I made an EP with 3 tracks. This EP will include a new track "Sucker Punch", an older track "My Money" and a fully re-edited track called "Slasher". The Sucker Punch EP will be released around the 14th July.

Would you say any other artists have had a strong influence on your work?

G:Yeah offcourse. I grew up with the starting of Boys Noize, The Proxy, Dim and the old compilation cd's of Lektroluv. Without these artists I would never knew this style of electronic music.

Gtronic, this will be your third Australian invasion. From experience, what have you come to expect from your aussie fans?

G:People jumping like crazy with their naked sweaty bodies and titties, screaming my name and doing the hart-sign with their fingers.

G:I have A LOT of new tracks and remixes to play! So I'm very excited for the feedback.

Where-ever you go...mayhem follows, but what's the most memorable set you've played?

G:My first gig in Oxford Art Factory with Trashbags. I never thought people would like my crazy music so much... I have a lot of respect for all these persons who're supported me.

When you're not tearing it up in the studio or behind the decks, where could we find you relaxing?

G:In my couch, playing and practising FIFA 2010 on my PS3. Everywhere I go abroad, I have to defend the Belgian pride haha

A fan sees you and offers to shout you a drink, what are you taking?
